2018, PRÉCÉDÉE, Hong Kong
A joint exhibition “得不到Folder S1: Drag_Here” with Yan Wai Yin, Li San Kit, Ng Pang and Chan Ka Kiu.

Digital Zen is a video that created through 3D scanning and computational images. The work explores the transformation of Zen - self-control, meditation-practice, and personal-insight in digital world. The physical and mental practice such as breath, position, form, mind, etc. were captured and represented in a continuous loop in which the Zen meditation has been transformed into a simple digital object. The main ideas about mindfulness, maintaining one and emptiness have been withdrawn as they are irrelevant to the work, but at the same time, they may exist in the mind of audience through the observation of digital meditation. The work concerns about the issues of computational or digital ontology, and it is expected to explore the possibility of integrating AI to further elaborate “Zen” and “being” in the future.
